Product is based on a published Khronos Specification and has been submitted to, and is expected to pass, the Khronos Conformance Process. This package supports apps that use OpenCL version 1.2 and earlier and OpenGL version 3.3 and earlier. OpenCL is a C-based programming language that allows running programs on many GPUs which support it. Previous versions of Cycles, Blender’s physically-based path tracer, supported rendering via the OpenCL framework. If a DirectX 12 driver is installed, supported apps will run with hardware acceleration for better performance. For AMD GPUs, this will be in Blender 3.0, expected in December 2021. Current conformance status can be found at This compatibility pack allows more of your favourite OpenCL™ and OpenGL® apps to run on a Windows 10 PC that doesn't have OpenCL and OpenGL hardware drivers installed by default.
